Important guide for crashes, bluescreens, and kernel errors
This guide especially concerns systems with Intel Core processors of the 13th and 14th generation. In many cases, the problem can already be solved by a BIOS update and the correct Intel default settings.

Step 1: Check motherboard model
- Press Windows + R simultaneously
- Type msinfo32
- Confirm with Enter
- Take a screenshot of the System Information window
Important for us are especially: System model, BaseBoard product / motherboard, and BIOS version/date.
Step 2: Download the latest BIOS version
Please download only the BIOS that exactly matches your motherboard model.
Important: Use only the exact matching BIOS, unpack the file and copy it to a USB stick.
Step 3: Safely update the BIOS
- Save the BIOS file to a USB stick
- Restart the PC
- Enter the BIOS, usually with Del / Delete or F2
- Open the manufacturer's update tool:
- ASUS = EZ Flash
- MSI = M-FLASH
- GIGABYTE = Q-Flash
- Select the new BIOS file from the USB stick
- Start the update and do not interrupt the process under any circumstances
Step 4: Load BIOS Default Values
After the BIOS update, please go directly back into the BIOS and load the default values. Depending on the motherboard, this function is called, for example:
Load Optimized Defaults
Load UEFI Defaults
Load Setup Defaults
Load Default Settings
Step 5: Enable Intel Default / Intel Baseline
Very important: After the BIOS update, the Intel-compliant default values should be active. Depending on the manufacturer, this option may be called differently:

Enforce Intel Limits
Step 6: Temporarily disable XMP
For troubleshooting, please temporarily disable XMP. The RAM should run at standard values temporarily. Depending on BIOS, this option is called:
XMP
A-XMP
EXPO (visible depending on BIOS)
Step 7: Do not use manual tuning or OC settings
- No CPU overclocking
- No undervolting
- No manual voltage changes
- No manual power limits
- No MultiCore Enhancement / Enhanced Turbo
- No RAM tuning
Step 8: Start Windows normally and test
Please test the system in daily use afterwards:
Start Windows normally
Open browser
Use multiple programs simultaneously
Start the game or application where the error occurred
Let the system run normally for some time
If the problem persists
If crashes, bluescreens, kernel errors, or freezes continue, a ticket must be opened directly through our website.
This also applies to customers who ordered via Digitec, Galaxus, or other marketplaces. These cases are handled through a separate Intel special process via AVLANO.
